The ASA Should Aim To:
o Create calibers ready to lead the association in the future.
o Enhance the services offered by the association to the actuarial science students.

The purpose of the Actuarial Science Association is preparing students for the job market through academic lectures, skill workshops, job market demands and other things that are rarely discussed in the Actuarial courses. Its mission is to engage Actuarial Science students together and strengthen their relations with their professors outside the classroom through non-academic events. The ASA should make sure that every single student majoring in Actuarial science is completely aware of the different fields of specialization and the skills that they need to acquire for each field. The ASA should aim to reach more students not just in the Mathematics department but all over campus and even outside AUC if possible, reaching out to other actuaries throughout Egypt and the world.

Avant Garde is a student-led publication, envisioned as an extension of our campus community’s need to bridge differences, and to spark refreshing discussions. What distinguishes Avant Garde from other student publications is that we hope to introduce students of different disciplines to experimental ideas and narratives through writing. The initiative’s purpose for becoming a student publication is very much in line with the mission of the Office of Student Engagement. We hope, through our writings, to engage in the development of the student body’s relationship with education, highlight the cultural manifestations in daily life, and on campus. Our liberal arts education is fruitful as it allows students of different disciplines to engage in dialogue in classrooms. However, we feel that our publication would further stimulate these discussions. Avant Garde aims to bring together the material of the classroom with informal methods of communication. Through our accessible thinkpieces, and social media presence, we aim to familiarize the student body with the manifestation of critical theory, art, and literature in their daily lives, and to give them space to experiment with their own thought-provoking ideas. As a student publication, Avant Garde would encourage the student body to participate in an environment whose initial aim is to constantly address knowledge production, allow for dialogue along a wide spectrum of experiences, and provide a platform for analytical and curious voices. Avant Garde will also seek to publish three issues per semester.

My mission for the year is to entertain the public with more than their
expectations, give opportunities to heads and members to acquire positions
throughout events for experience, and to widen the interested people by
providing new opportunities that enhance the performance of the club. Giving
opportunities to a variety of team members will help in enhancing self-confidence
and will increase the competition between the members to reach positions in
events. Finally, changing people’s mind and impression about CSTA and that they
can get entertained through our activities, campaigns, and events.
