12th Edition of the All-African University Games

The 12th edition of the All-African University Games [FASU Games] will make history as it comes to Egypt for the first time, bringing together university student-athletes from across the African continent for a celebration of sport, diversity, friendship and excellence.

Hosted by The American University in Cairo as the main host institution, the games will welcome universities and student-athletes to compete in a wide range of individual and team sports. The event will provide a unique platform for young athletes to showcase their talent, represent their universities and countries, and build lasting connections with peers from across the continent.

Taking place from September 8 to 16, 2026, the games will transform AUC and its sports facilities into a vibrant hub of African university sport, supported by participating universities, officials, coaches, volunteers and members of the wider AUC community.

Beyond competition, the 12th All-African University Games aim to promote unity, cultural exchange, sportsmanship and the values of university sport, while positioning Egypt and AUC as leading destinations for major international sporting events.
