Teng-Leong Chew is the inaugural director of the Advanced Imaging Center and the Integrative Imaging Program at HHMI Janelia Research Campus, USA. Serving on the scientific advisory boards of EuroBioimaging, Global BioImaging, France BioImaging, Danish BioImaging, Human Technopole (Italy), Imaging Southeast Asia, African BioImaging Consortium, BioRTC, as well as many other international microscopy organizations, Dr. Chew is especially keen on the development of a global strategy for microscopy dissemination and training. He has formulated and championed the launch of the Imaging Africa, Africa Microscopy Initiative, Imaging Latin America, and Okinawa Microscopy Workshop.
