Details
This workshop is part of SNAP14’s Hands-On Production Workshop Series, designed to offer practical insights into the world of creative production.
This session will be led by SNAP14's Co-Founder and Creative Producer, and Production Coordinator, who will share their firsthand experience and practical knowledge on how to build and execute a successful production from start to finish. Participants will gain hands-on experience, from receiving a brief and building a budget to navigating challenges that often arise in real-life productions.
*Laptops will be required for this workshop
1. Introductory Presentation: A brief presentation introducing the phases of a production process and highlighting key takeaways from real projects.
2. Creative Brief and Group Division: Participants will be presented with a mood board and brief. They will then be divided into two groups, each given 10 minutes to analyze the brief, take notes and write down the production plan they identify.
3. Production plan review and listing requirements: Each group will present its production plan to the room. Upon review, the most accurate plan will be selected to explain the reasoning behind their choice. Collectively, they will work on a list of requirements based on the final production plan.
4. Creative problem solving: An introduction to a series of production challenges, participants will be asked to come up with creative, on-the-spot solutions, simulating real-world pressure and encouraging teamwork, adaptability and problem-solving.
5. Call Sheet Creation: To wrap up, both groups will work on creating their own call sheet for the presented project using the tools and information they’ve received so far. This final exercise brings together all elements of production planning into one practical, industry-standard tool.
**The workshop is offered as part of the Cairo Photo Week program, which will be held in Downtown Cairo from May 8 to May 18, 2025.
