Be part of the prestigious International Language Assessment Conference in Egypt (ILACE) 2023 and showcase your organization's commitment to education and language assessment excellence.

Every year, ILACE welcomes hundreds of teachers, assessment specialists, education reformers and researchers from across the Middle East, North Africa and globally to engage in scholarly discussion around language assessment. ILACE is a joint collaboration between the British Council and The American University in Cairo. ILACE is a two-day face-to-face event of professional development for the worldwide ELT community.

Crucial issues such as using technology in assessment, high-stakes exams, test designs and inclusive assessments are gaining more and more interest every day. ILACE 2023 is keen to shine a light on these issues during this year’s conference. ELT practitioners and assessment specialists will meet to discuss and share their expertise in various critical areas: test development and design, online assessment, assessment literacy, artificial intelligence in language assessment, alternative assessment and learning-oriented assessment. Therefore, teacher professional development, including conferences, must hinge more and more on assessment awareness and expertise to promote and maintain quality learning and teaching as expected by all stakeholders involved, including learners, their current and future employers and others in society.
