Celebrating the successful launch of Executive Education's Private Equity Diploma and re-instating the fruitful partnership between the AUC School of Business and EPEA, a round table discussion will be taking place at the Oriental Hall, AUC Tahrir Square, by invitation only. 

EPEA is the Egyptian Private Equity Association developing the Private Equity and Venture Capital industries in Egypt and the surrounding region. EPEA played a significant role in developing the Private Equity Diploma and effectively promoted the program to the relevant audience.

School of Business, The American University in Cairo

Sherif Kamel is a professor of management, dean of the school of Business at the American University in Cairo, board member and former president of the board of governors of the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt. Previously, he was vice president for information management and associate dean for executive education at The American University in Cairo.  Before joining AUC, he was director of the Regional IT Institute, and prior to that, he managed the training department of the Cabinet of Egypt Information and Decision Support Center.  Kamel is an Eisenhower Fellow. He has several board affiliations including co-chairing the board of stewards of the African Women Entrepreneurship Cooperative, a member of the AACSB International MENA Advisory Council, and founding member of the Internet Society of Egypt. Previously, he was a member of the board of the Association of African Business Schools.

Howaidy is the founder of Egypt Women on Boards Observatory. She has extensive experience in organizational change and strategic management in local, regional and international organizations in the areas of higher education, human rights, management development, information technology and export promotion.  She has MA and MSc degrees in Middle East Studies and public management from AUC and the London School of Economics, as well as senior executive training at Harvard Business School.  She holds a professional doctorate in Organizational Change from Ashridge School of Business. She is both a Certified Corporate Board Director and a certified corporate governance trainer for SMEs and Women in Business by IFC.
