Co-organized by Dina Rateb, assistant professor of management of information systems with the Domain Name System (DNS), the IT Forum will be held under the title “Entrepreneurial success stories and the growth of the DNS”.

The Domain Name System (DNS) is a critical part of the Internet infrastructure and the largest distributed Internet directory service. DNS translates names to IP addresses, a required process for web navigation, email delivery, and other Internet functions. This webinar will introduce an entrepreneur success story in the domain names industry field. The webinar aims to inspire and show potential young entrepreneurs how they could pursue their own DNS related business.

The first guest speaker is Hadia Elminiawi, chief expert at the National Telecommunication Regulatory Authority of Egypt (NTRA) and leader of the DNS-Entrepreneurship Center (DNS-EC), founded by NTRA and the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN).

The second guest speaker is Hamza Aboulfeth, Founder and CEO of Genious Communications of Morocco, the first North African ICANN accredited Registrar. He will be talking about his life journey and how his small business grew to become the first accredited registrar in Africa.
