On December 2, 2020, United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres addressed the Global Leadership Forum at Columbia University, NY, with the following words: "We are fighting Nature, and this is suicide. Human actions are the cause – but are also the solution. This is our time’s moral test."

Join this session of the Gerhart Center Webinar Series titled "What is the Sustainability Mindset?" featuring Isabel Rimanoczy, Ed.D., the convener of the PRME Working Group on the Sustainability Mindset. In this webinar, Rimancozy attempts to define the sustainability mindset, tackling the following questions: Is it about our morality? Our values? Our paradigm? Is it about compassion, or perhaps spirituality? Is it about thinking of ourselves as part of an ecosystem, perhaps? Or about action, skills and technology?

Isabel Rimanoczy Ed.D. is the convener of the PRME Working Group on the Sustainability Mindset, a network of academics from 50+ countries interested in developing a new mindset. She has been researching the mindset for sustainability for over 15 years, developing syllabi, training faculty, writing papers and books and most recently, defining the 12 Sustainability Mindset Principles. She is currently developing the Sustainability Mindset Indicator, a project that was awarded the First Prize by the Wharton-QS Reimagine Education.
