Could the media and film portrayals of gender be harming women in our society? Join the debate and live online polls both virtually and in Ewart Memorial Hall for a limited audience as we investigate whether the attempts to reflect real life in the media may be contributing to sexual harassment conduct.

The event will be moderated by TV presenter and actor Mourad Makram. Panelists include scriptwriter Tamer Habib, actor and AUC student Ahmed Dash, Amel Fahmy (MA '10), managing director of Tadwein gender research center and Mervat Abou Oaf ('88,'02), professor of practice of journalism and mass communication.

Doors close at 12:55 pm.
Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Livestreaming will be available in adjacent halls in case of attendance overflow. All precautions will be taken to ensure the safety of our guests, including mandatory wearing of masks, social distancing and limited capacity in the hall.
