The session will explore how climate change disrupts education and how education systems can help young people build the knowledge, skills and resilience needed to address climate challenges. Drawing on global evidence and practical examples, Reimers will examine key barriers to effective climate education and discuss how governments, universities, philanthropy, civil society and responsible businesses can work together to turn commitments into action. The discussion will also highlight the urgency of these issues for Egypt and the wider region, particularly in light of rising temperatures, water scarcity and coastal risks.
