Horizon Europe in Egypt

Following Egypt’s association to Horizon Europe, EURAXESS Africa, in collaboration with the EU Liaison Office for Research and Innovation at Egypt’s Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, is organizing a Horizon Europe information session and proposal-writing workshop at The American University in Cairo.

The open information session will introduce participants to Horizon Europe, key funding and mobility opportunities, including Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, how to identify relevant calls and navigate the EU Funding & Tenders Portal, and how EURAXESS can support researchers in accessing European opportunities and building international collaborations.

The afternoon proposal-writing workshop will provide a more practical, hands-on introduction to developing a competitive Horizon Europe proposal and is limited to 30 selected researchers.

The open information session will run from 9:30 am to 1 pm, followed by the proposal-writing workshop from 2:30 to 4:30 pm.

The event is relevant to PhD students, early-career and senior researchers, research managers and faculty members. Attendance is free, but registration is required.
