Glass Menagerie Play

Step into the fragile world of the Wingfield family in Tennessee Williams’s timeless memory play, The Glass Menagerie.

Set within the confines of a small apartment, the play follows Amanda Wingfield, who holds tightly to memories of her past; her daughter Laura, who finds comfort in her collection of delicate glass animals; and her son Tom, who longs to escape the responsibilities of family life.

When Tom brings a young colleague home to meet Laura, a moment of hope enters the family’s fragile world, challenging their dreams, expectations and illusions.

Through poetry, music and memory, The Glass Menagerie explores themes of family, love, desire, illusion, responsibility and the difficult process of letting go.
