Join us for the second edition of the Manshur Conference on Publishing in Art and Design, focusing on the history and future of illustrated books from the Arab world, bringing together a compelling lineup of practitioners and thinkers whose work spans graphic novels, children's literature, visual storytelling and critical publishing.

13:45 — Lecture: Zeina Maasri, Senior Lecturer, historian of design and visual culture of the modern Arab world, University of Bristol, and former faculty member, American University of Beirut 

14:45 — Panel Discussion: Ganzeer, Egyptian artist, graphic designer, and graphic novelist, and Deena Mohamed, illustrator, and graphic novelist, author of the trilogy Shubeik Lubeik. moderated by Ghalia Elsrakbi

16:00 — Lecture: Yasmine Motawy, scholar, critic, and specialist in children's literature, American University in Cairo 

16:45 — Lecture: Walid Taher, Egyptian author, children's book designer, visual artist, and journalist
