The Case of Luigi Mangione: Criminal, Political Activist or Both?

The case of Luigi Mangione has not only generated much publicity on traditional and social media, but it has also raised a number of questions concerning the underlying motivation and nature of an atrocious act of killing that is as horrific as mysterious. In this talk, we want to first of all analyze why this case has so much potential for polarization; in the next step, we will then aspire to come to a more nuanced take on the case of Luigi Mangione by tackling questions that gravitate around basic moral, legal and politico-historical considerations.
