Join Xiaoyue Yasin Li, Assistant Professor of History and MENA Studies at Tulane University, USA. His research focuses on 19th and 20th century Egypt, science and technology, critical political economy, colonialism and postcolonialism. He is currently completing his first book manuscript, entitled Taming an Iron Horse: Capital, Politics, and Rail Infrastructure in Egypt.
