Breast cancer is the most common cancer and a leading cause of death among women in Ghana, with many cases diagnosed at advanced stages, resulting in poor outcomes. Early detection through screening can significantly reduce breast cancer-related deaths. The talk features Enoch Teye-Kwadjo, Associate Professor of Psychology at the Department of Psychology, University of Ghana, drawing on his research, which describes what we know about breast cancer in both patients and asymptomatic women, aiming to answer how Ghanaian women should approach and manage the disease.
