Expanding Special Olympics Unified Champion Schools® Across the MENA Region

The Regional Hub of Excellence event offers a prime opportunity for SO Egypt (Regional Hub of Excellence in Unified Champion Schools’ work) to engage new regional programs to explore and activate our schools’ initiatives. The event aims to showcase best practices, lessons learned and impact stories from all participating countries while fostering knowledge exchange and collaboration among them. It also provides an opportunity for non-activated programs, or those still in the early stages of development or implementation, to learn from their peers and receive feedback and guidance.

In addition to the First Special Olympics Regional Unified Champion Schools Competition, in which AUC students will represent the Egyptian Special Olympics team, our AUC basketball players, Zeina Hossan and Farida Mosaad, will participate, led by AUC alumna Nada Gasser, the head coach of the Egyptian Special Olympics team.
