Join us for a book talk, discussing "Dismantling Green Colonialism: Energy and Climate Justice in the Arab Region" with editor Hamza Hamouchene.

This collection explores the Arab region's unique position at the intersection of substantial fossil fuel reserves, histories of colonialism, and immense potential for green energy. The authors challenge Eurocentric narratives and advocate for a class-conscious approach to climate justice across diverse Arab countries. They critically examine how (neo)colonial agendas and resource exploitation continue to serve the interests of global and local elites, emphasizing the urgent need for a just energy transition.
