By understanding how utilizing structural estimation helps understand how consumers assess product attributes and quality, the seminar discusses blockchain technology’s impact on consumer marketplaces and highlights that consumer responses (and welfare effects) vary in sophistication and size based on their prior experience with the product category. Additionally, the seminar will establish that consumers deem blockchain based information to be more reliable than sellers’ claims.
