Adopt-a-Plot: Spring 2024

The Center for Applied Research on the Environment and Sustainability (CARES) provides an opportunity for agricultural hobbyists to obtain garden plots to grow their vegetables right here on AUC's New Cairo campus!

AUC students, faculty, and staff are eligible to register. Each plot has a 500 LE fee, including a 100 LE deposit that will be returned at the end of the growing season. Each plot is almost 40m2 and is assigned in groups of 2-4 participants. We encourage participants to involve their children if interested!
Registration for spring planting season: February 18 – February 22, 2024.

Adopt-a-Plot orientation session:
Location: CARES plots field.
CARES plots field is located beside the AP1 gate behind the swimming pool.

Planting Date:
Sunday - Thursday, March 3–March 7, 2024.
For technical support, CARES personnel and technicians will be on-site from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Final harvest:
August 15, 2024.
Participants must clear plots before this date to receive their 100 LE deposit back.

If you have a partner/partner, please include their email and mobile number on the registration form.
All participants should register during the registration time for each season to request a plot.
