How are features different from a series for a director? Is it just a change in technique, or does the entire style of storytelling change? How's your process as a director different when you're directing for airing vs. when you're directing for binge-watching? Most importantly, it is essential to know how to maintain your identity as a filmmaker across different formats.

Join renowned director and filmmaker Tamer Mohsen in an insightful workshop on directing for different formats and maintaining your filmmaking identity. With a passion for storytelling, Tamer worked his way through various artistic mediums.

After getting his Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Tamer made his way into the Higher Institute of Cinema, where he took his first steps as a director, which led him to write and direct two short films: "Al Hafla," a winner of the Shady Abdel Salam award at the 7th Egyptian National Film Festival, followed by his graduation project "To Sleep Peacefully till 07:00 am" that went on to win the Jury Prize at the 9th Egyptian National Film Festival and was screened at the 3rd Arab Film Festival - Rotterdam.

Afterward, Tamer started a journey with documentaries where he directed a variety of films, on top of which: "Saad Zaghlol - The Leader and His Shadow," "The Assassination of Al Sadat," and "The Assassination of Hassan El Banna."

Tamer also worked on numerous TV ads, including the anti-drugs campaign featuring the international football player Mohamed Salah and the 500500 hospital ad, which is a tribute to the late star Ahmed Zaki.

In 2013, Tamer Kicked off his TV career with the series "Bedon Zekr Asmaa," written by Wahid Hamed. "Taht El Saytara" followed in 2015, and in the same year, Tamer directed his first feature-length film, "Ott w Far," which marks his second collaboration with Wahid Hamed. In 2017 Tamer directed the TV series "Haza Al Masaa". In 2020, Tamer directed "What Happens In Beirut," which is an episode of the anthology "Nemra 2" produced by Shahid, and then in 2021, he directed his latest TV hit "Newton's Cradle".
