The Social Research Center (SRC) is holding a national dissemination conference "Trajectories of Precarious Work" to present its findings from three case studies in the garment, healthcare and agriculture sectors in Egypt based on data collected in 2023.

This research is part of the project "Transregional Research on the Changing Nature of Precarious Work in Africa and the Arab Region," which is in collaboration with academics at the Institute of African Studies at the University of Ghana and the Makerere Institute of Social Research at Makerere University. The project sought to theorize precarious work from the Global South by supporting cross-country conversations, conceptualizations and case studies on precarious work experiences in multiple sectors.

The event aims to facilitate a generative discussion about precarious work with scholars, students, policymakers, and members of civil society.

Join us in creating a space where we explore, rethink, and expand on the concept of precarity together.
