Inclusion of all learners in schools is now a known “right” and included in most policies around the Middle East. However, implementing inclusive policies effectively is not easy to achieve. The presentation looks at root causes for the challenges associated with policies in schools every day and examines ways to overcome such a challenges while adopting the right based approach when achieving inclusivity in and outside of schools. The talk ends with commendations for future projects.

Dr. Gaad is an Affiliate Lecturer at the University of Glasgow, UK. Professor Gaad led BUiD’s special and inclusive Masters and doctoral programmes for many years. In 2022 she became a Goodwill Ambassador for Bangladesh. She has established herself as a world-class researcher, advocate, international social development consultant and expert in the field. Additionally, Professor Gaad is a TEDx Speaker, regular invited keynote speaker, certified assessor, and a professional social trainer.
