Join Professor Reimer as he explores the US relations with Iran and how the prolongation of the "hostage crisis" was a major cause of Jimmy Carter's defeat in the 1980 presidential contest. There were revelations in the past year that show that this prolongation was the result of secret communications between the Reagan election team and the new Iranian government.

This event is part of the outreach and activity program by the Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud Center for American Studies and Research and AUC's School of Global Affairs and Public Policy (GAPP).

Make sure to join us in this intriguing public lecture; light snacks will be served.
