The Cairo Choral Society and Cairo Festival Orchestra will present a music concert for chorus, orchestra, and soloists by Handel, Haydn, Mozart and Schubert. The program will include Haydn’s majestic Te Deum and three of his witty, good-natured part songs, Mozart’s graceful, energetic Regina Coeli, and Schubert’s Mirjam’s Siegesgesang, a stirring portrayal of an Old Testament story, as well as a concerto grosso (for the orchestra alone) of Handel. There will be two performances, and admission is free.
Thursday, May 11, at 8 PM, at Ewart Memoria Hall, AUC Tahrir Square
