Visual Arts Senior Show: Lab Rats

The 2023 Visual Arts Senior Thesis Show presents a corpus of works that explore themes of bodily conditioning, manipulation, involuntary responses, and a growing sense of coercion by political forces within an increasingly digital world. These creative projects simultaneously confront and play with the threshold of agency over our own bodily faculties: from our public-facing surface, interior desires and physical will to the very question of what is one's own body anymore. "Lab Rats" tests the changing boundaries of our bodies and the contemporary world."
