What do you know about hip-hop? How much do you think it can change the world? How can a country's musical culture impact us globally?

To answer that and more, and on the occasion of celebrating 50 years of hip hop, join us on our American Studies Film club movie night featuring the PBS foundation episode of:
Fight the Power: How Hip Hop Changed the World

After the screening, we will enjoy a short discussion over soft drinks and snacks with Kim Fox, Professor of Practice at the JRMC Department, Mark Deets, Assistant Professor at the History Department and Jacquelyn H. Berry, Assistant Professor at the Department of Psychology.

The event will be moderated by Yasmeen El-Ghazaly, Assistant to Director and Adjunct Faculty at the Prince Alwaleed Center for American Studies and Research (CASAR).

This event is a collaboration between The Prince Alwaleed Center for American Studies and Research (CASAR), The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, The Department of History and The Department of Psychology.
