Business Forward's Third Annual Digital Campaign Closing Ceremony

Business Forward, The American University in Cairo School of Business' knowledge portal, will be hosting a closing ceremony for the third edition of its annual digital campaign #IMovedMyBusinessForward, focusing this year on family business. The closing event and awards ceremony will celebrate the winning business voted for by the public as well as those selected by the jury and will be held both virtually and physically at AUC New Cairo's Moataz Al Alfi Hall on May 16, 2023.

To further foster the connections and knowledge sharing between the business community and academic institutions, Business Forward started the digital campaign #IMovedMyBusinessForward in 2020. The campaign is designed to encourage businesses of all sizes to participate in the campaign by sharing their stories and learnings related to the theme of the campaign and how they moved their
business forward. 

The third edition of the campaign continues to shed light and engage the audience to speak about issues that matter most to the economy, the business and the individual. This time it will address family-owned businesses, an under-researched area and a backbone for many economies and is a highly relevant fabric of the economy of Egypt and the Middle East and Africa region, as family businesses contribute significantly to production, to employment and are locally rooted to the community and industry.  

This edition of the campaign, #IMovedMyBusinessForward, calls upon family business owners and leaders from the second generation and beyond to join by sharing their journeys of moving their family business forward. They will share their trials and errors as well as what practices and strategies worked for them to smoothen the inter-generational transition and grow and develop the business further. 

As with previous editions, Business Forward will disseminate content and knowledge capsules about this discipline of management studies. The Business Forward team worked with the company's relevant person to put together the family business case and visual assets in the form of a video that best showcases the story of this business with all its successes and learnings.

Established by the AUC School of Business in 2017, Business Forward is the knowledge portal of the school. The portal's goal is to provide balanced, timely and forward-looking content on the developments in different areas of business and the economy.
