Join us for this Immersive Design Thinking workshop at AUC New Cairo and Mountain View!

Design Thinking is a human-centered innovation framework adopted by fortune 500 companies, including Apple, IBM, P&G, Airbnb, and JP Morgan, among many others.

Design Thinking teams follow an iterative process to discover user needs, struggles and aspirations and design user-centered solutions that are technically feasible and financially viable.

Teams will work on the following challenge statement: "How might we reimagine the retail experience to stimulate customer engagement in a context where retail clutter and monotony of experience create a sense of indifference and apathy among individuals and families?"


Who can join?
AUC students of all majors and schools and graduate students are welcome to apply.


Why join?
- Discover a creative problem-solving framework where we will tackle a real-life challenge in collaboration with our Industry Challenge Partner: Mountain View.
- Participants will receive a Certificate of Completion and be eligible to apply for several internships; 12 will be granted at Mountain View Developments.


Where & when?
This will run face to-face on AUC New Cairo Campus and Mountain View by professional coaches and facilitators. The challenge intro and prep will be on Feb 16 from 5 pm - 9 pm. The actual challenge/workshop will take place over three days between Feb 17 and Feb 25. Final presentations will run over a 3-hour session on Mar 2.

Tuesday, Feb 21 or Wednesday, Feb 22 (Research Synthesis @AUC) - (5 pm - 9 pm)
Saturday, Feb 25 (Ideation and Initial Prototyping @AUC) (10 am - 4 pm)
Thursday, Mar 2 (Team Presentation @Mountain View) - (5 pm - 9 pm)
