Don't miss out on this intriguing conversation with Maggie Morgan, an Egyptian filmmaker, festival programmer and film faculty, as she examines what it is like being a woman in the Egyptian film industry today, what topics women filmmakers tackle, what stories would have never been told had the women filmmakers been silent? Do women in the Egyptian film industry work "in spite of" the industry or "because of" its rich and multi-faceted history? What are the challenges faced by women? Other than filmmakers, what room is there for women in the industry? How have women scriptwriters, actors, and cinematographers changed the scene?

This session is the fourth of Gender Wednesdays, a series that mainstreams gender and build a culture of inclusiveness at AUC and beyond. Gender Wednesdays sessions are brought to you by Tomorrow's Leaders Gender Scholars (TLS) Program.
