Concert: Teryola Trio

Teryola is a very unique formation. Hany El Badry, the Teryola's founder and music director, is a leading Egyptian nay player who uses the instrument within new creative canons. The nay is usually associated with Oriental repertoire, while in the hands of El Badry, this instrument moves the music to completely new territories and into different musical cultures, at times fusing it also with jazz and Western ensembles.
