The crisis that emerged in Lebanon in 2019 is one of the most severe in world history. How did it develop? And why was nothing done to prevent it despite several early warnings? What are the political-economic roots of this crisis, internally and in relation to the outside world? Are the different actors interested in conducting the necessary and difficult reforms? And what are the perspectives in case no reforms are conducted? What lessons can other Arab countries draw from this crisis?

Join us for this talk with Samir Aita, president of the Cercle des Economistes Arabes.
