Adopt-a-plot is a project that helps AUC students, faculty, and staff further engage in agriculture and a sustainable way of life. Anyone from AUC (and their families!) can apply.
This project aims to engage with the AUC community and present a simpler version of farming, teaching them about agriculture basics, sustainability and water conservation. Finally, it's also about having fun!
CARES will provide technical guidance and assistance, including all the tools and seeds required for planting. Our team will help you plant up to 10 different types from our seeds collection. Fall seeds include tomatoes, eggplants, coriander, parsley, arugula, spinach, peas, sweet corn, radish, cabbage and broccoli.
The project is beside the AB1 gate behind the swimming pool and consists of 18 plots; each plot has a length of 10m and a width of 40m.
All you have to do is to register through this link or QR code in the flyer; the cost is 400 EGP, including a refundable 100 EGP after you give back your plot clean and neat for the next planting season.
