For the third year in a row, TCC is partnering with the Arab region’s largest experimental theater festival to bring performances, workshops, master classes and networking opportunities to our historic campus in the heart of downtown Cairo. This year’s festival theme is the intersection of art and technology.
Highlights of this year’s festival at TCC include:
Theater Performances:
Through the Waves (USA)
Acrobatics and physical storytelling combine to tell the story of a woman’s grief at losing a soulmate.
Friday and Saturday, September 2-3 • Falaki Theater, 7:00 pm
Fighting (Egypt)
AUC alums Shaymaa Shoukry’s contemporary dance performance is about how we fight with others and within ourselves.
Tuesday and Wednesday, September 6-7 • Falaki Theater, 8:00 pm
Masterclasses:
Projection-Mapping
AUC Theater professor and industry expert John Hoey takes us on a journey exploring the latest in how technology enhances storytelling techniques regarding stage, set and lighting design.
