Mario Saied and his Musical Band

In cooperation with Avant Garde, Oud virtuoso Mario Saied and his musical band will perform a repertoire of Arabic classics and original compositions in an evening that will inspire both memories and visions for the future.

Free admission and open to the public.

Mario Saied, an oud player and music composer, graduated from the Arabic Oud House under the supervision of the global artist “Naseer Shamma” with a “very good” grade. He then started teaching in his alma mater after graduating. He has many musical compositions and has created a band titled Soul, which has performed several concerts across multiple venues. He has also had countless solo performances.

Avant Garde, a critical narrative, is a student publication that aims to address better political, philosophical and cultural discourses amongst AUC students. They aim to provide creative writing pieces that are published monthly. They also plan to develop the cultural discourse by providing cultural events.
