Join us on the third webinar of the Reporting History: The Invasion of Iraq featuring Iraqi guest speaker Ghaith Abdul-Ahad, an award-winning foreign correspondent for the Guardian Newspaper.

The U.S.-led invasion of Iraq in 2003 was a seismic event with repercussions that still reverberate to this very day. To mark the anniversary of the war, our guest speaker in this webinar is Ghaith Abdul-Ahad, an award-winning foreign correspondent for The Guardian newspaper. Through his photography and written reports, Abdul-Ahad documented life under occupation in Iraq for several international news outlets, including The Guardian, The Washington Post, The New York Times and Los Angeles Times.

The webinar is part of the Reporting History series, which explores historical events from journalists who covered them in the field. Whether it is war, revolution, natural disasters or high-profile crimes, journalists are there covering events on the ground and writing the first draft of history as it unfolds.
