From 10th to 19th of March, 2022. Opening on March 10th in Ewart Memorial Hall at 7:00 pm. Due to Covid 19, seats are limited and entrance is based on a first-come, first-served.
**Over 120 short films, including feature, documentary, first work, and animation films (chosen from over 290 submitted this year) are participating in the festival this year. The festival features filmmaking workshops, discussion panels, an exhibition, and various other events celebrating Egyptian film culture.
A special tribute this year is dedicated to Egyptian leading cinematographer Saeed El Shimi. In his honor, the festival is holding an Exhibition featuring pictures of his work, and documentation of his professional and personal life.
The Festival has been expanded, and extended to a period of ten days between March 10–19, 2022, and is held in the “Tahrir Cultural Centre” in the American University in Cairo Downtown Campus.
This Centre is among the largest and oldest historical-cultural compounds in the city of Cairo and includes the Ewart Memorial Hall, the Oriental Hall, as well as the Legacy, Future, and the Margo Veillon Galleries.**
