A night to pay tribute to and celebrate our love for prolific thespian Mahmoud Al-Lozy in a theatre where he put on some of his most memorable work. Born 68 years ago this February, Mahmoud lived with unbridled passion and childish curiosity. Speaking on his artistic prowess and generous, if weary, heart will be several of his students, colleagues, friends, and loved ones — interlaced with music and scenes from his most cherished plays alongside previously unseen backstage footage. A biographical exhibition depicting the Lozy experience in all its facets. Compiled from private collections and AUC’s archives, an array of personal items, collectibles, and memorabilia offers a window into the world and soul of this rare, beautiful dreamer.

-Tribute: Saturday, Feb 26 at 7:00 pm in the Falaki Theatre.
-Exhibition: Opens on Feb 26 at 6:00 pm in the Falaki Gallery — and running daily through March 3 from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm, except for public holidays.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, seats are limited and entry will be on a first-come, first-served basis. To ensure the safety of the AUC community and our guests, we will be enforcing all necessary safety precautions, including mandatory face masks, social distancing, and limited capacity in the hall.
