This event will provide Psychology Department majors and minors with information about Psi Chi, the international psychology honor society. This will help the attendees learn how the society can help them become competitive for graduate schools, meet other psychology faculty and students from all over the world, and gain access to travel awards, scholarships, and research grants.

Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology

American University in Cairo

Lameese Eldesouky, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at AUC. She received her BA in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley, and her AM and Ph.D. in Social/Personality Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis. She then completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University. She teaches foundational psychology courses, such as research methods, social psychology, and personality psychology, and conducts research on emotion. She is also the Faculty Advisor for AUC’s Psi Chi chapter and Chair of the Psychology Department’s Student Affairs Committee.
