The conference will be a part of the Cairo Water Week. It will feature H.E Nabila Makram, the Minister of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriate Affairs, who will be opening the event with Prof. Hani Sewilam, Founding Director of the Center for Applied Research on the Environment and Sustainability. 

The event's program is divided into four panels according to the below topics:
  • Panel 1: The Role of the EU in Advancing the SDGs agenda in Egypt: The case of the DeVilag project: Main objectives, achievements & outputs.
  • Panel 2: Challenges of Sustainable Agriculture Development in Egypt.
  • Panel 3: Education for Sustainable Development.
  • Panel 4: Opportunities for Sustainable Agriculture Development.

Each panel will involve both national and international speakers. From Europe, we have speakers joining us from different universities and institutions, including RWTH Aachen, Germany, the University of Nicosia, Cyprus, and the City of Science and Industry at La Villette, Paris. We have speakers joining from different universities around Egypt, including Cairo University, Alexandria University, Heliopolis University, Fayoum University, and The American University in Cairo.
