From "zero problems' in its regional relations in the 2000s, the Justice and Development Party (AKP) led Turkey to intervene in Syria, Iraq, and Libya in the 2010s. In the same decade, Turkey also actively engaged in an ideological confrontation in the region. In the early 2020s, Turkey seems to retreat to more accommodating attitudes, at least partially. The Tahrir Dialogue 94 will discuss the drivers and goals of Turkey's policies in the Middle East and their evolution.

This will be a hybrid event, panelists and invited guests only will attend in person at the Oriental Hall, AUC Tahrir Campus. These measures are taken due to COVID-19 maximum capacity regulations.
If you wish to attend in person, please register at gapp_ea@aucegypt.edu.

In addition, the event will be conducted as an online Webinar, which you can join virtually via Zoom
