The Lions of Cairo are a Chamber Ensemble dedicated to the creative reconstruction of early Western music and explore how it parallels and synchronizes with the repertory of classical Arab music and Byzantine chant. This program travels from Bach and Geminiani back into the earliest known reaches of written Western music. Featured artists will include soprano Amira Reda, oboist Ahmed Farag, cellist Shady Hanna, and director John Baboukis, with other guests. This concert will Livestream. Waiting for you!
